  Gary E. Cline, ASA, FCA, EA, MAAA With over 35 years in employee benefits, Gary helps employers manage benefit plans through expert articulatation and management of their benefit, funding, investment and accounting policies as well as foster an understanding in how they are all interrelated.

  Gary has served as retirement consultant for a wide range of public agencies, private sector corporations, and nonprofit organizations throughout his career. His experience began at The Wyatt Company (later Watson Wyatt, now Willis Towers Watson) where his first lead consulting role was with Public Service New Mexico. He moved to Hewitt to lead the San Francisco retirement practice, focusing on Fortune 15 companies such as Chevron and McKesson. After Aon took over Hewitt, Gary moved to Hawaii to lead the office of Buck Consultants (now Conduit HR) where he consulted both governments and corporations again and helped form the church plan center of exellence. Finally, Gary E. moved back to San Francisco, joining Nicolay Consulting Group as COO before becoming a founding partner of Actuarial Consulting Group LLC.

  Deanna Van Valer, ASA, FCA, EA, MAAA With over 35 years in public employee benefits, Deanna has served as retirement consultant for a wide range of public municipalities, private sector corporations, and nonprofit organizations.

  Deanna has been a Vice President and Consultant at large firms such as CalPERS, Bartel Associates, Segal and VIA. Her most recent projects include pension and OPEB plan valuations & disclosures, and consulting on overall plan management.
